 ·        Infrastructure in keeping with the Sunshine Coast Lifestyle

·        Sporting facilities for both grass roots sport and elite competition

·        Be Inclusive

·        Promote Economic growth

·        Address social issues

·        Minimise carbon footprint

·        Be innovative and unique avoiding duplication

In essence, we are continuing to advocate for the following:

Community-centric indoor sports courts/stadiums distributed across the region.

Ensuring the sporting element of the Sunshine Coast Event Centre incorporates a sunken or drop-in court.

Establishment of a high-performance training centre for Netball and Basketball in conjunction with the upgrade to the Sunshine Coast Sports Precinct in Currimundi.

Expansion of the Sunshine Coast Hockey Centre at Ballinger Park.

An upgrade to the Noosa (Girraween) Athletics Complex by way of a new synthetic track.

Mutually beneficial leasing terms between Councils and local clubs.
